I was watching Charles Stanley on Sunday and wanted to share some things I needed to hear. He was speaking on anger. Anger is
like poison. Can cause sickness and even death. Anger is like gangrene of the soul.
We do not need to feed into everything that is thrown at us. Sometimes it's better to keep our mouths closed.
We can find other things to occupy ourselves with. Something we have neglected. Clean out a closet.... We can stick our nose in the bible! Help someone in need.
Identify the cause of your anger, confess your feelings, and intentionally deal with it. Have victory over it, take an emotional timeout.
I have some scriptures below for anger and angry along with the armour of God.
Anyway Put on the whole armor of God:
Ephesians 6:10-20
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day , and having to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
And your feet shod with the preparation fo the gospel of peace;
Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the firey darts of the wicked.
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit , and watching thereunto with all perserverence and supplication for all saints;
And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
I looks up some verses on anger:
Psalms 103:8
The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
Proverbs 15:1
A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.
Ephesians 4:31
Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you. with all malice:
Colossians 3:16
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
Psalms 7:11
God judgeth the righteous , and God is angry with the wicked every day.
Proverbs 25:23
Burning lips and a wicked heart are like a potsherd covered with silver dross.
Matthew 5:23
Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the alter, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;
Ephesians 5:26
That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the wishing of water by the word,
I hope this helps, anger is a sin, we can't afford.
Love Life and have a blessed day.

I agree with you! This changed my outlook on getting upset. At the end of the day, it isn't worth the emotion.

DeleteExactly, Gives satan power. Give the glory to God!
ReplyDeleteAmen! The word of God says, Be angry but sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath. God knew it would be times a Christian would be provoked to anger that's the reason he gave so many scriptures but He also left scripture that will enable us to not give into the temptation of anger. Anger turns into rage if not dealt with. Some seek counsel for to try to manage it but the enemy will still use this kind of emotion against those who live in anger. It can be deadly!! God gave us His word to live by and when we get saved, the peace He gives us will surpass all understanding. Ephesians 4:26-27 says, Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: 27 Neither give place to the devil. Just to share with you, last Sunday, I witnessed an man burn up in flames due to a car accident hitting a tree. The eyewitnesses said that he was screaming until he died. This is an awful way to die and if we are not saved when we die, we lift up our eyes in Hades! May the LORD continue to have mercy because this kind of behavior goes on all around the world. It is just an incidence of how anger can destroy a person and not only him but his entire family was affected by his decision to do what he did. Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
ReplyDeleteIt grieved my spirit and I had to pray for God to touch my spirit so I can sleep. I thank God for His peace that surpass all understanding. Thank you for sharing today. May many be blessed by this post message.
Thanks for sharing.
